How to schedule a post on a Facebook Page
Meta Business Suite is Meta's free tool for managing Pages and Instagram accounts. To post from it, you need full control of the Page or content permission on it.
- Go to Meta Business Suite, or open your Page and click Meta Business Suite in the left menu.
- Click Create post, from the home page or the Content tab.
- Under Post to, select your Page. You can add your Instagram account to publish the same post there as well.
- Add your photos or video under Media, then write your text under Post details. If you post to both networks, you can adapt the text for each.
- Next to Scheduling options, turn on Set date and time and pick when the post should go live. Active times suggests slots based on when your followers were most active over the past 7 days.
- Click Schedule.
Two limits apply: the publish time must be between 20 minutes and 29 days away, and all scheduling times follow your current time zone. If your audience lives in another time zone, convert the time before you pick it.
How to schedule a Facebook post from your phone
In the Meta Business Suite app, create your post as usual, tap Schedule for later, choose the date and time, then tap Schedule. The same app can schedule Stories for your Page, too.
How to see, edit or reschedule a scheduled post
- In Meta Business Suite, click Content in the left menu.
- In the Posts & reels tab, select Scheduled.
- Select the post, click the ... icon, then Manage post.
- Choose Edit post, Reschedule post, Move to drafts or Delete post.
Prefer a calendar? The Planner shows your scheduled posts by week or by month, and you can open any of them from there to edit, duplicate or reschedule it.
Can you schedule posts on a personal Facebook profile?
Only in professional mode. Meta's Help Center states that Pages and profiles in professional mode can create, schedule and manage posts directly on Facebook. Once professional mode is on, tap What's on your mind?, create your post, then tap Next to open the post settings, where you can choose a later publish time. To find your scheduled posts, tap Manage posts on your profile.
A standard personal profile has no scheduling option, and no outside tool can fill the gap. In 2018, Meta began withdrawing the permission that let apps publish posts as a logged-in person, and the last extensions ended in 2020. That's why scheduling tools, Wavnil included, publish to Pages.
Can you schedule posts in a Facebook group?
Yes, if you're an admin of the group: Facebook lets admins schedule posts, and even set up recurring ones, from inside the group. Meta Business Suite also lists groups among the destinations you can post to.
Third-party tools are out of the picture here. Meta removed the Facebook Groups API in 2024, along with the publish_to_groups permission, so no outside scheduler can publish to a group anymore.

Meta Business Suite covers Facebook and Instagram well. A dedicated tool becomes worth it when you also publish on LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube or X, when several people prepare posts, or when you want to plan more than 29 days ahead.
